For those of you who didn’t already know, the football season has begun! Saturday 15 September saw our very own ACS’s first two games in the junior football league for this academic year. The Under 11s (Grade 5-6) were there bright and early, ready to play, warming up and conferencing with the coaches.
Our boys made us proud. Ghibran (5I) and Rifqi (5R) both scored in the first game against Al Azhar School, which resulted in a 2-0 win.
After a short break, another win was for ACS, with Billy (5H) scoring the only goal against the Mentari team. When I spoke to them after the games, the boys were tired but happy, and went off to enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Our Under 11s showed good team spirit, both on and off the field, supporting one another during and after the two games, a point noticed by attending parents and teachers. The next games will be on October 6. Good luck!
