TIC JAAC Senior Girls Basketball
This term, the ACS Jakarta Girls’ Basketball Senior Team played several matches against other schools as part of the JAAC competition. The team experienced some setbacks, such as having experienced players unable to participate due to injury or mock exams, and therefore achieved mixed results. The team put their best efforts in and managed to win when playing against SPH Kemang, SPH Sentul, and AIS. However, the team unfortunately lost their matches against St Laurensia and SPH Lippo Village among others, some only by a one-point margin. Most disappointing was perhaps losing the final game of the season to St Laurensia. Despite some unlucky results, the girls kept their spirits up, and did not allow these defeats to dull their enthusiasm, camaraderie, or sportsmanship, and saw every match as a learning opportunity. Sincere thanks to Coach Igiet and Coach Akbar for encouraging and guiding the girls before, during, and after their matches, and to Mr Rangga, Mr Nadzi, and the rest of the CCA Department for arranging the matches for the team. And of course, well done to every girl who participated and gave of her best in a demanding JAAC season.
