Ms Tri Listi - TIC Badminton Primary
On February 3 ACS Jakarta’s Primary badminton players set off early in the morning to Sekolah Pelita Harapan Lippo Village, Karawaci for a friendly match. Accompanied by two coaches, Mr Edo & Mr Sigit, and 1 TIC, Ms Tri, these 11 students eagerly mingled with other players from SPH to build their sportsmanship, techniques and skills. Out of 27 matches, our ACS Jakarta Primary badminton players successfully managed to lead in 21 games. We would like to thank the school & parents for their support and we hope to join more events to build the players’ confidence, commitment and skills.

Vanessa William Kalip - 8R
On 10 February, some members from the badminton team participated in a friendly match held at Sekolah Pelita Harapan Karawaci (SPH). In the beginning, there were only grade 11 and 12 students from SPH that were participating, but the grade 7, 8 and 9 students came around an hour later since they just came back from a field trip the day before. Our opponents were tough to beat as they were more experienced than us. Even though we lost overall, we were able to learn more about our weaknesses and we were not deterred by our loss. This opportunity enabled us to know our capabilities better and hopefully refine our skills in the future. We would like to thank our TICs, Chen laoshi and Pu laoshi, and our coaches, Pak Edo, Pak Sigit, and Pak Faris, for supporting
us relentlessly and for organizing this event.
