Thursday, 1 March, the primary students gathered at the main field for their annual track and field meet organized by the PE department. Mr Melvin declared the meet open with a short prayer, after which the House Captains and School Captain marched with their prestigious house and school flags respectively in front of all the students, teachers, parents and guests. Warm-up and stretching exercises were conducted to ensure that the participants were ready for their respective events.
The first event was the 60m Dash/ 80m Sprint, followed by the long run, where each house sent 2 of their best runners. Then the crowd gave their biggest roar of the day in the Mixed Relay event. Each House cheered their teammates on throughout the day, which provided a great sporting atmosphere. Congratulations to Budi Utomo as they emerged as the overall champion. The PE Department would like to say a big thank you to all the teachers, parents, student volunteers, staff and MRC crew for their support and contribution to the event. Thank you!
