STB-ACS seeks to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of students between the ages of 3 and 18. Our curriculum and co-curricular activities encourage continuous learning. Faculty provide learning experiences which are appropriate to a student's age, learning readiness, and stage of development. We take a developmental student-centered approach to instruction which nurtures each student's strengths. Preparing our students for their next step in education is essential. Therefore we have a curriculum that is sourced from around the world, in particular, the International Baccalaureate, the Cambridge Examinations Board and Singapore . The curriculum reflects that used by leading international schools in Indonesia and our region and in ACS schools in Singapore .
Students start their Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) program at the beginning of Grade 9, culminating in an external assessment at the end of Grade 10. The subjects that we offer can be found under the Secondary Curriculum for the respective grades. Detailed information about the syllabus of each subject can be accessed from the Cambridge International Examination website (www.cie.org.uk).
Students start their International Baccaulaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) at the beginning of Grade 11.
Assessment of student work is continuous throughout the academic year for all grades. Regular tests are held at all levels and we benchmark our standards to those of the ACS family of schools in Singapore . Internal examinations are held at the end of each semester from grade 4 onwards.
Students participate in the following externally assessed examinations:
Cambridge examinations at the end of grade 6 (Cambridge Checkpoint Test).
Cambridge examinations (IGCSE) at the end of grade 10.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) examinations at the end of grade 12.
We offer national examinations at the end of grade 6,9, and 12.
